MSU's Engineering Advisory Council (EAC) provides an industry perspective to the college in its strategic planning, with a goal of improving the quality of the academic and research programs; enhancing the effectiveness of its graduates; encouraging life-long learning and assisting in the mobilization of new financial resources to support the development of innovative programs.

The EAC is responsible for evaluating the mission and goals of the college; assisting in the development and implementation of the College's strategic plan; helping to expand multi-disciplinary and teamwork initiatives; and advising on the relevance of curriculum requirements and course offerings from the standpoint of technology, current industrial needs, general employment and future trends.

The EAC also provides input on new and evolving strategic objectives and assists in developing corporate relations to foster greater opportunities for COE students and programs, both before and after graduation. The EAC helps promote the programs and graduates of the college and assists the Dean and Development Officer in the identification and acquisition of new avenues and sources of financial support.

EAC members have the opportunity to gain personal satisfaction from helping MSU provide exceptional engineering education to our students. The experience also comes with opportunities to network with fellow members as well as MSU's leadership.

EAC members are invited to serve three-year terms. Meetings are held twice during the academic year. Members are expected to attend and actively participate in the initiatives undertaken by EAC. Members assist the college in the development of new sources of support.
